When your here you get to know your neighbor well, really well! The sites were built before slides, so you get real close. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a former KOA (new one north of town) so has all of the perks. Driveways/pads were sand but were not a problem even with very breezy spring day. Staff member was courteous/helpful and presented a gift pack upon checking in; rate was with PA discount. Showers/RR were clean. Rec area for kids. Closest Carlsbad RV park to Caverns (20 min away). Even had amusing 'check list' for RV when leaving. Quiet; and the dog run had biscuits -- a first on this 12,000 ml trip! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV park near Carlsbad Caverns is more family oriented with plenty of activities for children. We stayed mid-week and the park was at full capacity. The park is not a resort style park, but all the amenities were in good condition and the park employees very attentive. Overall, a pleasant way to spend a few days while exploring the Caverns. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Passport rate $15.50 plus $3 for 50 amp. We asked about site size during check in and got a nice big back in site in the new E section. Other sections are older and would probably rate 7 - 8. Row D has nice sized pull thru's. A and B rows are much tighter, ok if every other is empty. We are not traveling with kids, but this is a great place for family's, big game room, pool table, ping pong, lots and lots of maps on the walls, lots of stuff for kids to do here. Nice little gift store with reasonable prices. Park is on the south side of Carlsbad, town just north and carverns an easy drive south. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We paid PA rate. Maybe that contributed to our experience. Our picnic table was falling apart, the streets were very narrow. Yes, there is an indoor pool, but if you want to change before walking back to your RV, you have to go to a different building…not very pleasant when it’s cool and windy. The front desk was friendly, but the entrance from the highway to the CG was very poorly marked. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 1 night on the way to Carlsbad Caverns. It was fine for an overnight, but I wouldn't stay here for an extended stay. Sites were VERY close together. We didn't use our picnic table because our long term neighbor had claimed it with his dirty mop. We wouldn't stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park was great to visit the caverns. On the south side of town so you are on the road you need to drive to go there. The park has a small dog run so the dogs can get off leash a bit and have dog biscuits there. It is not brand new, but there was always someone gardening and maintaining the grounds. Friendly people. Level sites. There was a game room and indoor pool which we did not use. Would stay there again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Pull thru sites, not as close together as some parks we have stayed in. We felt it was a good park in which to tour the Caverns. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Sites are dirt with some trees. The sites are pretty level. Our 36' fifth wheel with three slides fit ok. Cable TV was very snowy, so we set up the satellite. Free Wi-fi was a bonus. We would stay here again, for a short stay. Good for the price. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very good Park with gravel/dirt roads and some trees. Office staff very friendly and courteous. Kid friendly with the goats and miniature horses. Cable TV and Wireless internet was good. Not far from Carlsbad caverns. Would definately stay again, if in the area. Sites were very close to each other. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We found this RV park to be fair to average with dirt/gravel roads pull-through sites too short for both RV car. There is a little grass around two edges of the campground. We were there for a week, and after one windy day late in the week we left with everything inside and out covered with dust & smelling dusty. Sites are pretty close together, but we did manage to squeeze our car between us and our neighbor. Many sites have non-standard 3" sewer hookups with bad threads making use of our screw-in connector difficult, and some sewer connections stick up high enough that we witnessed a neighbor having difficulty dumping . Sites have no patio, a few have a table, free WIFI works very well, and there is free CATV. We did not check out the indoor pool. Their somewhat high-end price is brought within reason with a Passport America discount, though they do tack on an additional charge for 50a power. We might stay here again, but would likely check other alternatives first. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We went early for a Rally then stayed over an extra day on the end. This park is good for families in that there is a playground for kids, a covered indoor heated pool, there are marshmallow roasts held by the park on Friday and Saturday nights. They have a BBQ pit for use in a central site. They have a large game room and fairly large meeting room complete with kitchen. They will cook breakfasts on Saturday and if requested on Sundays. They have a petting zoo of 2 miniature horses and one goat. The owners are super nice. Bathrooms were sparkling. Staff was friendly and mostly helpful. There are large trees but not at every site. Only improvement to the facilities would be to pave the interior roads and sites themselves. Also, some of the standard sites are quite narrow but didn't affect us. If you want room for slides or cable TV be sure to ask for it in advance. Cable TV not on every site. Their WiFi worked like a charm. We will return here especially after doing drive-by checks on the other parks in the area and what they offer. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Good place to stay to see Carlsbad and the Caverns. Park is clean, has good laundry facilities and game room with pool, ping pong and other. Separate area with barbeque is available and they provide the propane for the grill. Sites are level and wide. Park is dusty, but after all it is in the desert. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I was a little skeptical when we first got set up. Carlsbad had just received a major flood when we arrived and the playground was a little muddy, but it didn't take long to dry out. I loved the fact that my child could go and play and I could still see him. He loved the tire swings. They almost need to add another. The breakfast on Sunday was very nice also. I was disappointed that there were not grills at the campsites, but the convenience to everything else was wonderful. We will stay here again when we return to the Caverns. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I have been going to this rv park for many years.Even before the Crozier family purchased it. I remember the first time I went in after the purchase. I went to the restrooms and it was like Mr clean had moved in .They had personalized the restrooms to a home like enviroment. Very family friendly ,out to cater to you having a good time in Carlsbad . Great breakfast. GREAT PEOPLE ! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have a dually/36' high-profile fifth wheel. Our pull-through site was good and level. A very friendly park and the owners have obviously put a lot of thought and work into the facilities. An old park but services, including WiFi, very good. Not a destination resort but well placed for visiting Carlsbad Caverns. Free handouts to visitors a very nice touch. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Convenient to Carlsbad; (town, cavern, shopping, river park area). Nice friendly park, if not crowded, they let you use 2 sites if needed for parking. I would not consider it a destination park, but for sight seeing the area, it is quite nice. Rate was discounted for non premium site, and Good Sam Discount We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The park was a bit pricey but it was quiet. It is the only park I've been to that not only knew about RVparkreviews but actively sought positive comments for this site. The goody bag was pretty cool and was probably worth $10-$15 with granola bars, teas, and a battery operated razor. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for several days and found it to be satisfactory. Very nice staff and managers. There was a mix of long-term residents and transient RVers. The level sites are all gravel as well as the roads, but there are mature pecan trees throughout the park. On Easter Sunday the managers had a delightful potluck and provided baked ham and potatoes. Felt it was over-priced for the time of the year. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a old KOA campground and needs lots of work. Roads and sites are gravel. Sites are mostly side by side with with no room on each side, plus very short. To me good for small units only. Now out of Passport system but in Good Sam. I think place is good for over nigh stops only. Park has trees but little shade. Staff was nice at check in. Free WiFi but system is poor and very slow due to low quality signal levels. Over priced for what you get. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This seems to be a popular place to stay--why we don't know. It is a dusty, very tightly packed and worn RV park. They are doing improvements, but it's highly over priced no matter. Our slide was so close to the travel trailer next to us we could barely get to the hook ups! No room for steps, awnings or chairs. The dog run was filthy. Tons of kids in and around the pool and game room! The owner was a really nice guy and the workers were very friendly. The 'premium sites' were only slightly bigger than the rest. The only grass we saw was in the small dog run and around some very long term residents. We will never stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is a little rough around the edges, but the proprietors are super friendly and welcoming. The coffee pot is always on. We were invited to come to the recreation hall to watch the free Sunday night movies, complete with popcorn. We were also given a small bag with promotional items and manufacturers' samples (like one would get at a convention). There are nice homey touches too: you are given a little star sticker and invited to add it to the big map on the wall to show where you are from; completed jig-saw puzzles are mounted on the walls of the laundry room; the family dog and cat are always in evidence. We like these personal touches, but some folks don't care for that kind of thing. If you are traveling with children this would be a good place to stay since it has a playground, a large game room and a pool. It can get quite windy in Carlsbad and since the sites are all gravel it can get quite dusty, but that is a problem all over this part of the country. There appeared to be quite a few long-term residents in the park, but it was reasonable neat and tidy. Not the fanciest place we have ever stayed, but we would use it again. The location is also convenient with a Wal-Mart just a few minutes away and other services nearby. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We came for the heated pool and were only disappointed that there was just a pool, heated, and a few chairs - nothing else. The park itself was adequate and clean, though there was a number of locals hanging around the office and the children's play area that I could have done without. A good place to stay and the staff was accommodating enough. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We liked the fun-filled info sheet we got on our arrival, the free wireless internet & the "goody bags" we got when we left. Very friendly staff & there are lots of things & activities, such as Thanksgiving dinner, petting zoo, DVD rentals, included to make it a family friendly park. We found the paths & the grounds rather dusty & "rough", especially in the hot sun. The sites are rather small & very close together. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a really nice park and the owners are working every day to improve it. They have a way to go yet. In the month we were there it rained for 4 days straight and the park was not flooded. There were some large pools but nothing you couldn't avoid. This is unlike traveling down the highway through Carlsbad, every intersection was flooded. The owners put on a breakfast every Saturday and some Sundays for $3 of less and had a campfire with marshmallows every Friday and Saturday night. The restrooms were cleaned every day. We would stay again. The owners really care if you have a good time. The pull-through we had was nice and wide. The sites are level and some have shade trees. Cable is extra. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great park. The owners are very helpful and friendly. We always feel good, staff can make up for lots of other things. At this park, everything is good though. The sites and roads are all gravel and level and there are trees for some limited shade, which will improve as they grow. The wifi was free and worked well. Everything is clean and nice and there's a well stocked camp store. There are lots of activities and a very good game room and indoor pool. On the weekends they serve a hot, delicious, $3 breakfast. We had planned to go on to a KOA much further away from the caverns, but stopped here and are so glad we did. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is a wonderful place to stay! We ended up staying at this park for two months and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The owners and all of the staff members were super friendly and very helpful. The sites were very nice and had lovely trees. We didn't expect much grass as the park is located in the desert. However, there are beautiful cacti, flowers and even a grape arbor. There are plenty of activities going on during the week including movies, breakfasts, campfire marshmallow roasts, a very nice gift store, an indoor swimming pool, a children's playground and much more! The owners kept the grounds and all of the facilities very clean. Many new improvements were added to the park during our stay. The park is very convenient to the City of Carlsbad and the area attractions. This park is very quiet and we would definitely stay there again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We met friends for Thanksgiving in Carlsbad and planned many activities in the area. The kids and we had so much fun at the RV park, that aside from previously scheduled caving tours, we didn't leave all week! Jim and Mary provided marshmallows and campfires on Friday and Saturday nights, movies and popcorn on Sunday...$1 movie rentals, indoor and heated swimming pool, pool table, juke box, and table tennis. We constantly had a ping pong ball game going. My "tennis elbow" hurt for days! The laundry facilities and bathrooms/showers were always clean and available and the gift shop had a great selection. The kids had a blast with the marshmallow shooters, too. Carlsbad RV park is no longer just a place to stay while we go caving. It is now a "destination location" for our full timing family of four. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed at this campground in Sept '04. The campsite is under new ownership and the owners are very friendly. They have done a lot to turn this place around. The swimming pool is very nice (indoor and heated) and our kids enjoyed it very much. There are a lot of playground activities that kids can play with. Our kids also enjoyed the turtles as well. We also liked the DVD rentals for $1 that they had. The RV park is on the south side of town making the journey to Carlsbad Caverns about 20-30 minutes. Gas stations, restaurants, and shopping are all within five minutes of the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great place to stay at. We came just to see the Carlsbad Caverns and only planned to stay one night, but we stayed for two additional nights and would have stayed longer if we could have as the park was a lot of fun for our family. We enjoyed the pool, playgound, rec center and the nightly camp fire (the park supplied the marshmallows) The owners live on site and are very pleasant and helpful as is the staff. Carlsbad Caverns is a fantastic place to see. One of the true wonders of the world. We traveled over 750 feet below the surface (they have an elevator or you can hike down). You see such beautiful sites in this underground wonderland. We also visited the Pecos River which was a day in itself. We also went to an amusement park and our 9 year old son and me and the wife had a great time. My some especially enjoyed the go carts. This RV Park was taken over by the new owners about 1/2 year ago and they have done an awesome job of making this place a great place to visit. We camped here in a Motorhome.
